† Free curriculum: We do not charge for any curriculum available to the public for free. A printing & binding fee will apply when we produce physical copies for families.

*Curriculum is provided when a school or teacher license is available. If one is not offered by the publisher, parents will need to purchase their own copy at their own expense.

High School: Res Novae Academy does not provide curriculum for High School Maths (Pre-algebra and above). We recommend parents purchase Denison Algebra. RNA includes other types of math programs such as Personal Finance and Consumer Math to prepare students to make good financial decisions as an adult.

Limited enrollment available — on-site class sizes are limited to 10 students; virtual classes will be limited to 20 students.

All classes, schedules and fees are subject to change based on final enrollment numbers, testing data and student/family needs. Schedules and fees are ONLY proposed based on anticipated enrollment data.

Final grade level placement is determined by testing and taking into consideration the student's overall academic profile and portfolio.

Why Do We Test All Students?

We use two assessments to build a complete picture of each student. The MAP Growth test (Math, Reading, and Language) identifies the skills your student has already mastered and the skills they still need to acquire. We also use Mindprint — available to all enrolled students and available for purchase by homeschool families — which determines how your student learns best.

Together, these two assessments allow us to develop a well-rounded understanding of your student's strengths, learning style, and areas for growth. We then use that insight to shape our lesson plans for the year — ensuring your student's needs are met, real academic growth is set up for success, and the most personalized educational experience possible is delivered.

Understanding Your Enrollment Type

Enrolled Students

Enrolled students are private school students participating in an educational program directed by Res Novae Academy. As the school of record, we issue all official educational documentation, including report cards and transcripts. Res Novae Academy operates under Alabama private school law. If your family resides outside of Alabama, it is your responsibility to verify that this program satisfies your state's educational requirements.

Homeschool Students

As a homeschool family, you — the parent — are the director of your child's education. You have chosen Res Novae Academy as your curriculum and educational service provider to support your homeschool program. This is similar to enrolling in an online course or a community class. The parent educator retains full responsibility for all documentation and records related to your student's educational portfolio.

Payment & Scholarships
