Transform Your Homeschool Journey with Res Novae Academy!

At the core, my vision is to create an educational alliance with parents to offer a well-rounded educational program for children in our community.

My specialty is working with children who need a little bit something extra - patience, time, a gentle push to move forward and realize they are capable. The goal is to build confidence and a solid foundation.

Our program is for families who are looking for a partner that will provide the core curriculum and lessons for the school year, a learning instructor, support, accountability (when & where needed), assessments to determine any skills gaps and overall, a program that allows a student to have the best of both worlds - home learning seamlessly blended with classroom-based group learning.

Does that sound like something you're looking for?  If so, let's learn more about our program!

Res Novae Academy is a unique type of education program known as a hybrid micro-education program.  Our students attend class in a traditional classroom setting up to 2 times per week. Instructors provide the primary instruction in the classroom, create lesson plans and more.  Parents are highly involved, facilitating learning on the days students are at home.

Our pedagogical approach is eclectic.  Our vision is to combine project-based & inquiry-based learning methods along with the Charlotte Mason, Classical, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship approaches. This approach is designed to encourage students to think critically, deeply, and with a moral purpose. Our focus is ensuring students have solid math, grammar and reading foundations through skills-based scaffolding model.

At RNA, we know and celebrate that every child learns differently, and their educational needs cannot be met in a one-sized fits all model.  Our mission to partner with parents is key to educating the whole child.

For some students, home education is the best fit.  However, as a parent, this undertaking can be quite challenging navigating resources and instruction.  The heartbeat of Res Novae Academy is to provide families a support community of like-minded families and educators.

What is a hybrid, micro-education program?  It falls under the umbrella of "Micro-Schools".   Hybrid programs are more structured than homeschool co-ops, but more flexible than conventional five-day schools. A few days per week, hybrid programs will look just like regular schools – with desks (tables) and teachers, etc. The other days, the students will look just like homeschoolers, working through lessons and activities, attending other interest-based learning programs, park days, and field trips with a parent.

We do not require parents to participate or share in the teaching of classes. This is a drop and go program.

We offer an enrichment program designed to support your child’s growth and success. Whether you are looking for a more personalized educational experience or seeking a community of like-minded families, we provide:

Core Curriculum & Electives

  • Comprehensive Learning: A well-rounded, 30-week curriculum for both school and home that blends core subjects and exciting electives.
  • Core Focus: Emphasis on the core four subjects, with math and language arts reinforcing essential skills.
  • Engaging Electives: Offering secondary courses in areas that foster creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth.

Mixed-Aged Group Learning Environment

  • Collaborative Learning: Instructor-led courses in a dynamic, mixed-age environment that encourage peer-to-peer learning and mentorship.
  • Inquiry & Project-Based Learning: Hands-on approach to science, history, and geography, empowering students to explore, ask questions, and build knowledge in a creative and engaging way.
  • Skill-Building Focus: We prioritize math and language arts to ensure students build strong academic foundations.
  • Bridge Skills Gaps
  •  Strengthen research & critical thinking
  •  Engage in meaningful learning

Growing and Expanding

  • Exciting Growth: We’re currently hiring educators, assistants, and community members for the 2025-2026 school year to expand our team. Our focus is on individuals who can help in making this vision for our community move Res Novae Academy to the next level.
  • Accreditation: Res Novae Academy has partnered with Cognia for accreditation.  We are in the process of working diligently toward completing this process.

Fundraising for Our Future

We’re fundraising for financial support for families in need of assistance and essential resources to enhance the student experience:

  • Financial to support our learning center and families in need.
  • Lending Library to support student research and reading.
  • Computers & Equipment: We currently have 3 laptops but are looking for up to 2 more plus a printer to meet the in-class research needs of our students.

**Join us in creating a thriving educational community—**

We are here to support you, your family, and your child’s educational journey every step of the way.
