*** Alabama SCHOOL CHOICE FUND FAMILIES ***
For those who are participating in the School Choice funding, please be aware that Res Novae Academy has 2 listings as a vendor. 1- Participating School ($7,000 funding) and 2-Tutor Program $2,000 Funding option.
If you are enrolling in our program select "Private School" option.
Enrollment Process
Step 1: Submit the enrollment form
Step 2: We'll review the form and schedule a time to meet with you and your child at our school to ensure we are the right option for your student(s). This program isn't for every family. We do this to ensure the family is committed to working together to educate a child. We offer a program, but it is up to each parent to ensure the student is learning. We are not a program for a family looking to delegate responsibility and remain hands-off. This is not our model nor vision.
Step 3: After step 2, we'll send you the final forms for agreements as well as a link to submit your enrollment fees and establish your monthly tuition payment plan.
Paying for your students:
We accept: Payment in full, Monthly payments, or Choose Act funds.
Apply for ESA funds: CHOOSE Act Alabama
RNA is an approved Education Service Provider (partner school) with ALDOR. This means if you select our program, each of your students is eligible for the $7,000 funding portion of the Choose Act. You must select "private school" to be eligible for this funding category.
Notes:
We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
We do not discriminate based on whether you utilize self-pay, monthly payments or ESA funding.
If your family isn't eligible under the ESA funding guidelines and cannot afford tuition, we are pleased to still accept your application. We do actively fundraise and search for grants to help families afford tuition.
If you apply for Choose Act funds and use them to pay for our program, you are responsible for paying all fees that the ESA funding doesn't cover, up to and including tuition, this also includes in the event of the Choose Act not approving an invoice (in full or in part) or doesn't make a payment to us.
We do not perform state standardized testing. This is not a requirement of non-public schools in Alabama. We don't offer ACT, SAT, CAT, or any similar testing at this time. We will be looking to add these options for families as part of our future growth plan.
We do assess students throughout the school year. We assess students to gauge their understanding and mastery of materials to ensure they are ready to advance to the next level.
Science, History & Geography are assessed based on the curricula used. We will conduct an end of year assessment in these subject areas as well.
Students in levels 1 -3 (except grade 9) will receive a mastered or not mastered designation.
Students in Grade 9 and level 4 will receive a numerical grade necessary to establish transcripts.
Be sure to get on our email list and learn about new opportunities as they are announced.
